Community & Industry Partnerships

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond merely recycling. We actively collaborate with organizations, businesses, and community initiatives to promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and local impact.

Through these partnerships and programs, Recycle Services ensures that sustainability, corporate responsibility, and community impact go hand-in-hand, transforming our operational success into meaningful contributions for the region.

Industry Partnerships

We work with leading organizations to advance recycling innovation and circular solutions:

  • Northwest Ohio Innovation Consortium (NOIC) & Member Companies: We partner with the NOIC and its members, such as Owens-Illinois and Owens Corning, to enhance industrial recycling practices and engage the community.
  • Local Government & Chambers: We collaborate closely with the Lucas County Solid Waste District, the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce, and the Toledo Chamber of Commerce to support local initiatives and community-wide recycling programs.
  • Justice Industries: We aim to employ individuals who face barriers to employment and struggle to find and maintain work.
  • Work Leads to Independence (WLI): We connect individuals with job opportunities to promote independence and autonomy.

Community Engagement

We invest in programs that empower local organizations and youth while fostering environmental responsibility:

  • Youth & Volunteer Programs: We partner with Young Life to facilitate community service opportunities, allowing participants to provide volunteer cleanup services, with their payments reimbursed as charitable donations.
  • Donation Programs: A portion of our revenue from select customers is reinvested in local community projects and nonprofit initiatives, amplifying our positive impact.

Event Sponsorship & Support

We support organizations and events that improve community quality of life and promote sustainability:

  • Avenues for Autism: We support programs and activities that create opportunities for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Toledo Classic: We contribute to event operations and community engagement efforts.
  • Keep Toledo & Lucas County Beautiful: We sponsor initiatives that improve neighborhoods through litter prevention, beautification, and environmental education.
